The Car That Can Help You Quit Smoking
Although there's a slew of reasons to give up smoking, winning a new car's a highly motivating one for young people. So when it came to developing a campaign for the Canadian Cancer Society's Driven to Quit Challenge, we harkened back to the good old days of automotive advertising & made the prize-winning hybrid a hero once again. The vintage-style posters fit-in aptly with the hipster 'mid-century-mod' zeitgeist.
Inspired by the infamous Dinah Shore jingles, the radio's a throwback to the era when cars were king. I , Steve McKinnon wrote the music & a nine-person orchestra recorded live in studio brought it to life.
